REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN A VISA FOR ENTRY INTO ALGERIA

Tourist

Submit your U.S. Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity
2 Visa Application Forms, fully completed, TYPED ONLINE, and signed. Original signature required on each application.
2 Passport photographs required
Family visit applicants must provide with their application an invitation from their host in Algeria and notarized at the city hall of the place of residence of the Algerian host. Fax copies are not accepted, only originals.
Copy of airline tickets or itinerary, showing entry and exit from Algeria, and copy of confirmed hotel reservation. The Algeria visa is issued valid for the specific dates as requested on your applications form. The Embassy of Algeria advises applicants to make their travel arrangements based of the date of entry of your visa. Applicants should not arrive in Algeria before that date.

A letter of invitation from the host company in Algeria is required
Copy of itinerary or air tickets showing onward travel. The Algeria visa is issued valid for the specific dates as requested on your applications form. The Embassy of Algeria advises applicants to make their travel arrangements based of the date of entry of your visa. Applicants should not arrive in Algeria before that date.
A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:

Embassy of Algeria, Visa Section, Washington DC The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed;
Name and address of reference in Algeria to be visited;
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit.
This letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
