Drawing on our many years of experience in East Africa, we have crated a journey to Tanzania and Kenya that is both thrilling and comprehensive. We visit places where game is most abundant and locales where you.re likely to encounter some rarities, such as Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, tree-climbing lion and reticulated giraffe.

Among the most remarkable elements is our three nights in the Serengeti at a private tented camp set up especially for your group. Because we place it in the area where wildlife is most abundant at the time of your visit, you.re bound to maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities.

We also visit the Samburu Reserve, which sits north of the Equator and is home to animals not seen in other parts of East Africa.

This safari features four flights, so you can make the most of your time. And while on the ground, you explore in go-anywhere four-wheel drive vehicles. This is a grand journey, and we hope you.ll travel with us.

1	Depart the U.S. for Arusha, Tanzania, where we stay at the Mountain Village Lodge.

3	On a stroll with a village elder near Mto Wa Mbu, we visit local homes, farmlands and a school. Continue across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. (B,L,D)
4	A game drive in Lake Manyara offers an opportunity to find baboons, monkeys and flocks of noisy hornbills. Further south we visit hippo pools before searching for tree-climbing lions. Tuesday we drive into Ngorongoro Crater, where an abundance of food and fresh water support more than 30,000 large mammals. Spend two nights at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (B,L,D Daily)
5	A game drive in Lake Manyara offers an opportunity to find baboons, monkeys and flocks of noisy hornbills. Further south we visit hippo pools before searching for tree-climbing lions. 9	Fly to Arusha and drive to Namanga, Kenya, continuing to Tortilis Tented Camp outside Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is one of East Africa's best locations for spotting elephants, with views of Kilimanjaro. (B,L,D Daily)

11	Fly to Samburu in Kenya's Northern Frontier District. Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and reticulated giraffe are characteristic of this region. Daily game drives allow ample time to observe the abundant wildlife. Enjoy two nights at the beautiful Samburu Intrepids. (B,L,D Daily)

14	Fly to the Masai Mara Reserve, a rich savannah famous for its concentration of plains game and predators. Our next two days include morning and afternoon game drivers. Enjoy a farewell bush dinner beneath the African sky on our last night. We overnight at the Mara Intrepids. (B,L,D Daily)
