India

India presents visitors with a kaleidoscope of colors, cultures, sights and sounds. A visit is a feast for the senses, but more than that, it is a way to see and learn about facets of nature and culture that are fare from our ordinary experience.

Our 18-day expedition includes India's most wonderful sites and cultures. We begin in the coastal city of Mumbai, where we see the 1,200-year-old elephanta Caves with their spectacular carvings.

We visit Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks, India's signature wildlife areas, and look for birds and wildlife, including the country's prize sightings - the tiger. Since most animals, including tigers, have little fear of elephants, riding atop an elephant provides an ideal way to see tigers up close.
